The foremost being the information technology, duly hallmarked by Artificial Intelligence. Evolution of human mind continues. Sky may not be the limit after all! It is the Knowledge that has enabled the mankind to evolve so dramatically. Knowledge was enslaved by the high and the mighty forever. Modern technology has broken the shackles around its waist and the fetters around its ankles. It is liberated out of the brick and mortar walls, the empty courtyards and the dark alleyways. Open learning is the way forward. IMI has been serving humanity since the 1990s in several ways.We now enter a bright and glowing realm of knowledge disseminated through technology. Medics International Virtual University is open to the world. You are welcome to join to learn and serve the mankind.
Message From Dr. Arshed Ali Quyyumi
We at Medics International are delighted to launch the Medics International Virtual University (MIVU), an excellent resource for disseminating information using state-of-the-art online videos, lectures and interviews. With increasingly rapid advances in scientific knowledge and its adaptation into clinical practice of medicine and allied sciences, there is a crucial need for harnessing e-learning technologies that enables its’ rapid and effective dissemination. With these goals in mind, the Academic Council of Medics International is launching MIVU. Together with our online, open access Journal of Medics International, we hope to accomplish our longstanding goal for creating state-of-the-art educational platforms that will be accessible to all around the globe, help connect the global community, encourage dialogue and reduce current health and educational disparities. Our overarching goal is to educate and inform medical practitioners, scientists, and the public worldwide using this visual and interactive medium. MIVU provides easily accessible, flexible and potentially more effective access to information and education. Using slides, didactic lectures, discussions and related formats, we hope to engage a diverse and international audience on this virtual platform. Areas of emphasis for the MIVU include general discussions for the lay public on issues related to their health, more advanced courses for practitioners, allied topics including medical education, health and medical ethics, and the influence of culture and faith in medicine. To facilitate this process, MIVU will have a subscription free and open access. We invite you to contact us regarding talks, slides or course materials that you would like to share with us on this platform. All requests will be reviewed by the Journal of Medics International editorial board. For accessing MIVU please register and click on Learning Management System (LMS) link given at the top.
Message From Dr. Syed Wajih H. Rizvi
Dr. Rizvi graduated from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He did his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, and then completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipid Disorders from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University, and the University of Pennsylvania. For 8 years he headed the Endocrine Division of the Dakota Clinic and Innovis Health Systems in Fargo, ND, and was Associate Professor of Clinical Endocrinology at the University of North Dakota. Currently he is an Associate Professor, Clinical Endocrinology, at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey ( Now called Rutgers University), and Chief of R-Endocrinology and R-Research, in Hamilton, NJ.

Dr. Aamir Abbas graduated from Khyber Medical College Peshawar, Pakistan. He did his Masters in Epidemiology and Bio-statistics from Aga Khan University Karachi. He has worked as Deputy Senior Manager Research Monitoring and Evaluation in Marie Stopes Society, Senior Instructor (Research) at Aga Khan University and he is currently working as Assistant Professor of Community Medicine at Khyber Medical University’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Kohat, Pakistan. Dr. Abbas has his career goal to work towards provision of quality healthcare to everyone everywhere. As provision of quality healthcare is linked to quality medical education therefore Dr. Abbas is working as the administrative Coordinator of Medics International Virtual University.
