Dr. Rizvi graduated from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He did his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, and then completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipid Disorders from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University, and the University of Pennsylvania. For 8 years he headed the Endocrine Division of the Dakota Clinic and Innovis Health Systems in Fargo, ND, and was Associate Professor of Clinical Endocrinology at the University of North Dakota. Currently he is an Associate Professor, Clinical Endocrinology, at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey ( Now called Rutgers University), and Chief of R-Endocrinology and R-Research, in Hamilton, NJ.

He is an honorary clinical faculty at American University Barbados, School of Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University and Lasalle University, Philadelphia, honorary member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Lipid Disorders and Diabetes & Honorary Professor of Internal Medicine & Clinical Endocrinology at Endocrine Metabolic & Research Center (EMRC) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and Honorary Member Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Rizvi is one of the founding members of Imamia Medics International, was its first Global President and then served as member Global Board of Regents for 9 years, Advisor, International Relations & Affairs and IMI’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and oversaw the IMI head Quarter’s until recently.

 He has an avid interest in philosophy, Urdu Poetry, traveling and wild life. He lives with his family in New Jersey.
